Directories, utilities and sites of general interest, and some that are just generally interesting!

• Big Yellow   yellow pages directory of businesses throughout the USA.  Search by city, business type, etc.
• Four-11  search on-line for e-mail addresses.   Search by name, city, state, company name, domain, etc.
• Ultimate White Pages  search multiple databases for listings all over the USA, including the ability to input telephone numbers and find the subscriber's name, address, and even a map to the home or business.
• Who Is  find out who is really behind that domain name.  Query a domain name, and determine if that name is taken, and if so, the name of the firm, and other contact information.
• News lists list of publicly available news lists available for use with NNTP newsreaders, e.g. Netscape news, Microsoft Internet Explorer, etc.
• Deja News Search  Search multiple news groups for key words, for a real power search.
• Expedia Travel   find the best airfare, the details on hotels, and book your travel with Microsoft Expedia.
• Qutoes and News from Yahoo!   Stock quotes, market ticker, latest financial news from wire services.
• My Yahoo!  customize a desktop with current quotes on a custom portfolio, your cutomized news, weather from cities you select, sports scores, etc.  All free from Yahoo!
• Synchronize your clock  access the US Naval Observatory "nuclear clock" to keep your computer clock correct.
• ABC News  the latest headlines, and lots of other news goodies.
• Bolling Green CPA firm directory   probably the largest directory of CPA firms with web sites.  Maintained by Bolling Green State University.
• Law firms on-line   from Law Journal Extra! a listing of law firms with websites, although a very small list.
• Martindale - Hubbell law firm directory  listing of attorneys and law offices, which can be querried by location, name, etc.  No website information.

Law sites dealing with US court cases, business and commercial law sources.

• United States Code   complete US Code, organized by title, and by major legislative act, e.g. "clean water act."  Database is a US Government Printing Office service, with additional features brought to you by the University of California.
• Federal Administrative Documents   University of California searchable database, including, Commerce Business Daily, Federal Budget, Congressional Bill database, Congressional Record, other documents.
• Uniform Commercial Code   searchable Code, including individual states, brought to you by Cornell University Law School.
• Court Decisions:  US Supreme Court and US Circuit Courts  actual text of federal appeals court cases and US Supreme Court cases, generally back to 1992 (+/- 2 or 3 years).  Compiled by Emory University, Cornell Law School, and a handful of other law schools.  Some other cases and administrative rulings are included in various federal circuits.
• US Bankruptcy Code   organized by Code Section, from Cornell University Law School.
• Federal Register   searchable Federal Register, on US Government database, brought to you by the University of California.
• Bills pending in Congress  from the "Thomas" site in Congress.
