 Known all Men by these Presents, That we Lewis Sandlin ,Whitehead Humphrey ,and Charles Gregory in the State aforesaid, are held and firmly bound unto the Justices assigned to keep the Peace ,within the County aforesaid, &c. in the just and full sum of two hundred & fifty pounds ,current money of the State aforesaid ,to be paid to the said Justices, the survivor or survivors of them ,their executors or administrators , in trust for the benefit of the minor hereafter named ,committed to the tuition and care of the said Lewis Sandlin .To which payment well and truly to be made ,we bind ourselves and each of us,and each and every of our heirs ,executors and adminstrators ,jointly and severally ,firmly by these presents .Sealed with our seals, and dated this 10 th day of January Anno Domini 1815.

The condition of the above obligation is such , that whereas the above bounden Lewis Sandlin is constituted and appointed guardian to John Askew a minor: Now if the said Lewis Sandlin shall faithfully execute the said guardianship, by securing and improving the estate of the said John Askew until he shall arrive at full age, or be sooner thereto required, and then render a plain and true account of his said guardianship, on oath before the Justices of the said County Court, and deliver up, pay to,or possess the said John of all such estate or estates as he ought to be possessed of ,or to such other Person or Persons as shall be lawfully empowered or authorised to receive the same ,and the profits arising therefrom ;then this obligation to be void ,otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.
