To all to whom these presents shall come know ye that I Enoch Askew of the County and State aforesaid planter do by these presents for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred fifty dollars as lawfull money of the State aforesaid to me in hand paid by Nathan Askew of said County planter the deed whereof I do hereby acknowledge and therewith am fully satisfied and contented and do hereby acquit and discharge the said Nathan Askew his heirs Executors administrators and assigns I have and by these presents give grant sell and convey a certain piece of land containing two hundred fifty acres by estimation be the same more or less situate lying and being in the County of Onslow of the State of North Carolina On the East side of new river the said John ?Baraks? corner beginning at the mouth of a small branch that makes into the river   ?   Where John ?Barak? formerly lived beginning at a Chincopin stake then along a  ?  of marked trees bounded as follows on that side by James Thompson  ??land that formerly Belonged to William Nobles and on the upper end bounded on JamesThompsons line and on the other side opposite from the said James Thompson bounded by Charles Thompson land partly and William  ???  land to a     ?   branch that leads down to the river Tecoson then up the said Tecoson to the first station it being a tract of land that belonged to John ?Beack? and sold by said ?Beack? to me the said Enoch Askew and sold by me the said Enoch Askew to the said Nathan Askew to have and to hold the said bargained land with all the improvements of whatever nature or kind thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to the said Nathan Askew his heirs Executors administrators and assigns forever and I the said Enoch Askew do for myself my heirs  Executors administrators do covenant and agree with the said  Nathan Askew and I the said Enoch Askew do warrant and defend the lawful claim or demand of any Person or Persons whatsoever shall   ?   forever defend by these presents In Witness Whereof I Have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 16th of September 1805                                                         In Presents of                                                                                    Enoch Askew
