                 Against                                                 Judgement for Deficiency
Elizabeth J Askew(Administrator)
In this case the Commissioners who were appointed to  lay off and allot to Elizabeth J Askew widow of Benj.Askew deceased,her years’s allowance out of the crop,stock and provisions of her deceased husband ,having filed a descriptive list showing a deficiency to the amount of Ninety-three and 83/100 dollars.
        It is therefore ordered .Adjudged and Declared, that the said Elizabeth J Askew recover of Elizabeth J Askew(Administrator) as Administrator of the said Benj. Askew, desceased ,the sum of  $93.80 to be paid when personal assets come to his hands ,together with the cost of this proceeding.

In the matter of ------ letters of ------- --------- upon the estate of Benj. Askew deceased
 ? D Koonce the applicant for letters of administration being duly sworn says
1st That Benj. Askew late of the county of Jones , State of North Carolina is dead not having made and declared any last will and testament as applicant is informed and believes
2nd That the applicant believes he is a proper person and legally competent to be entitled to Letters of Administration and so applied
3rd The value of property being both personal and real is at this time unknown to the applicant, that Castle Askew is entitled as an heir to said estate, she widow Jane Askew being also entitled to all the rights guaranteed and secured by law.
Wherefore the applicant asks that notice ---- to the widow of the late Benj.Askew and Caswell Askew that they appear before the clerk of the superior court of Jones County at such time as he may designate and show cause if any they have why they shall not be considered to have ------ then right to ------ minister upon such said estate ,and why Letters of Administration upon said estate of Benj.Askew dec.should not issue to the applicant upon a due compliance with the law in such cases made and provided
