This plat represents 94 acres of land and swamp lying
in the county of Pasquotank on the S W side of Pasquotank River the Newland
at a place called Middle Swamp or White Oak Ground .Beginning at a beech
a Corner Tree in Terry Murdens line then S 84 W 20 ½ chains
along Murdens line to a pine Corner then S27 W 10 chains to the center
of three marked trees Murdens Corner .Then S 57 W 20 chains along Robert
Cochrans line to a pine a Corner Tree then N 8 chains to three marked Trees
N 70 E 7 chains .Then n 20 E 11 ½ chains to a gum on Anthony
Grays line. Then N 82 E 22 ½ chains through the field and Old Sheep
Pen Then N 2 chains to the swamp then up the swamp(N 66 W 35 ½ chains
-from drawing) binding Grays land to the lane. Then S 26 W 15 ½
chains to a pine then W 23 chains to a popler in the Desert then N 16 E
27 chains to a gum then N 66 E 81 chains down the swamp along the land
of Thomas and John Leah__________?to a beech ____________? 2 ½ chains
to the first station.
